What is the Dane County YAB?

The Dane County Youth Action Board is a diverse group of young people,

ages 14-24 with lived expertise of homelessness and housing instability
who work advocate for youth to improve the homeless service system.

We work with our community to improve systems and programs that affect youth housing stability.

We provide insight through our lived-experience to make positive changes within our communities!

We fight to eradicate systems of oppression including - but not limited to - adultism, racism, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, and classism while working to center equity and intersectionality.

We advocate for the rights of young people to ensure that youth homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring in our community.
